Dr. Jill Mallory has been a family physician in Wisconsin for over 20 years. Originally a Southerner, she earned her bachelor’s in microbiology from the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Mallory moved to the Midwest to complete her Family Medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, which is consistently ranked one of the top family medicine residencies in the country. This training prepared her to care for all ages of patients, at every phase of life. During residency training, she focused on care of the mother-child dyad and lactation, eventually taking and passing the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. While the traditional medical model taught her to make diagnoses, extend life, and alleviate suffering with powerful tools, she hungered for more.
After residency, Dr. Mallory completed a 2-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine, a joint program between the University of Wisconsin in Madison and the University of Arizona in Tucson. Her fellowship gave her the privilege of studying with pioneers in the field, including Drs. Andrew Weil, Tieraona Low Dog, and David Rakel. Her fellowship training included publishing and lecturing, as well as developing expertise in providing patients with Integrative Medicine consultations. These longer visits allowed her to really get to know the whole person and focus on prevention and wellness, blending the use of therapies outside of the traditional medical model with the powerful tools of diagnosis and treatment she had learned in her residency.
After residency Dr. Mallory joined a compassionate and dedicated team of family doctors at the Wildwood Family Clinic in Madison. She has practiced as an integrative primary care physician there since 2010. Her panel of patients at Wildwood quickly filled, and she has found great joy and inspiration through the relationships she has built with her long-time patients.
The demand for Dr. Mallory’s expertise in Integrative Medicine has continued to grow and blossom in the Madison community and statewide. She is thrilled to open this consultation micro-practice to allow the community access that has not been possible in a full primary care practice. Free of the hassles of the insurance-based healthcare system, Dr. Mallory treasures spending time with patients and developing tailored and creative plans that meet their needs.
She enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, yoga, boating, and live music and theater. She loves to cook healthy meals for friends and family, and can often be found in her kitchen. She lives in Madison with her two daughters and dog Willow. She is passionate about providing thoughtful, holistic care, rooted in patient autonomy, collaboration, and compassion.
What is Integrative Medicine?
Integrative medicine is a whole-person approach to health that blends the best of modern medical science with proven, evidence-based natural therapies. Instead of focusing only on symptoms, it looks deeper—exploring the root causes of illness and the unique factors that influence your well-being.
In an integrative visit, we consider every part of your health story: your lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress, environment, and personal goals. We may use conventional diagnostics and treatments alongside tools like nutritional guidance, mind-body practices, botanical medicine, and lifestyle strategies—all tailored to you.
The goal? Not just to manage illness, but to help you feel your best, prevent future problems, and support long-term vitality.
If you’ve ever wished your doctor had more time to listen, explain, and partner with you in your health journey, integrative medicine offers exactly that. It’s healthcare designed to help you feel heard, empowered, and on the path to your healthiest, most vibrant life.
